Those of you who follow this blog will know that last Sunday I got up early to take photos of the sunrise at the beach and then I decided to spend the morning there. Well, what I would like to share with you today is the fact that during the course of that morning, I was presented with another creative moment. This time it was in the form of stone towers which had been built by Manu, a man who was at the beach with his family.
Manu told me that he was not an artist, yet he spent all morning creating pillars of pebbles both in and out of the water. He would look for each rock carefully, paying attention to its size, weight and colour ? And all for enjoyment! He stated that if he wasnt building stone sculptures, he would be creating sand castles!
It was wonderful to watch him work and see how he encouraged the younger members of his family to join in. There were a lot of people at the beach that morning but only a few actually stopped, taking a few moments to look and talk to him. We were the lucky ones in my book.
To Manu I say thank you and I hope you continue creating!
See how it is always a good idea to take your camera with you wherever you go? Life is full of surprises?
